There are situations in which you need to organize the media files which are stored on your hard disk. In this case, using Windows Explorer won't help, as this file manager doesn't have any options for organizing files and folders.

But fortunately, there are applications which allow you to organize your media files in an efficient way, making them easier to manage. One such application is FileFormation. After the user installs this program, he will be prompted with a welcome screen in which he will need to select the file types that should be organized.

FileFormation supports a wide range of graphical, audio and video formats, but can also manage and organize other file types without any problems. After selecting the desired type of files that should be organized, the next step is to select the folder which contains the media files. FileFormation can automatically scan for all the media files contained by a certain folder, even if there are several sub-folders inside.

FileFormation can organize media files by detecting the additional data which is stored inside media files. For example, photos can be organized by their EXIF information, which includes the date and time when the photo was taken, the GPS tag and other similar information. Thus, the user will be able to access his desired files fast, without even using the search feature.

When clicking on a media file inside the program's interface, the user will be able to view it directly, using the built-in player. Unfortunately, this feature requires buying a program license. The same license is required for copying or moving media files from a location to another, directly from the program's interface.

Pros

It allows you to organize all your media files according to various information which is built into the file, like EXIF or ID3 tag. Besides that, it includes a simple step by step wizard which helps you add media files fast. Furthermore, media files can be opened directly in the program's interface.

Cons

Viewing media files in the program's interface or performing file operations requires buying a license. FileFormation allows you to efficiently organize and manage your media files.
